Senior Class Gift. At major universities across the country, the Senior Class Gift is a collective financial contribution from the members of the senior class to their alma mater in honor of graduation. Giving to your Senior Class Gift is a great opportunity to make a meaningful gift and celebrate your years at Northwestern. When you participate in this effort, you join loyal alumni, faculty, parents, corporations, foundations, and other friends of Northwestern who support the University every year through a tradition of philanthropy.
The Class of 2008. The Class of 2008 is planning to break records. Last year, the Class of 2007 set a new participation record with 725 gifts. Visit the Donor Honor Roll to see a list of who gave. This year, we’re setting our sights high for the Class of 2008 with a goal of 850 gifts. Help your class make history, and make a tangible difference at Northwestern!
Make a greater impact. As part of the Class of 2008 Senior Class Gift Challenge, every contribution from seniors will be matched with $50 from University Trustees. Take advantage of this opportunity and make your gift go further for NU this year!
Choose where the money goes. Visit Areas of Impact to learn more about directing your gift to the area of Northwestern to which you feel most connected. This includes gifts to any area of the 2007-2008 Northwestern Annual Fund or to special programs that are particularly important to you, including Dance Marathon, WNUR, your academic department, student group, sports team, or Greek organization.
Celebrate and be recognized. Seniors who make a gift of $20.08 or more this year will be invited to a special recognition event during Senior Week. The names of all Senior Class Gift donors will be listed on at our online Donor Honor Roll and engraved on a plaque displayed in Norris for years to come.
