School of Communication |
The School of Communication is known as groundbreaking, creative, and dynamic - qualities that enable the school to lead in all fields of communication. For more than 125 years, the School has provided leadership and vision in the arts and sciences of communication, exploring new frontiers of scholarship, technology, clinical practice, and performing and visual arts. Merging theory and practice, each of our disciplines - communication studies, performance studies, theatre, radio/television/film, and communication sciences and disorders - strives to understand and shape human interactions. The School's comprehensive and interdisciplinary program prepares students to lead, whether in scholarship, politics, industry, or culture. Faculty members and alumni include Tony Award-winning directors, members of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and fellows of the Acoustical Society of America. With your help, the School of Communication will continue to spark innovation in the classroom, on stage, in the production booth, and through research.
Understanding the nuances of human communication in a fast-changing global community has never been more important. As this new generation of students begins to chart the future of communication, we invite your generous support, which will help renew the School's programs and provide new opportunities for exploration and application.
